Day One
Fly from Istanbul to Dalaman. Transfer to Gocek where you will board your luxury yacht. Time to explore the village of Gocek. Dinner is served around 8.00pm. Overnight on board.
Day Two
Setting sail west into ancient Caria, brings you into Ekincik. From here we take a river boat into the reed-fringed marshes of the Dalyan River and visit the Roman city of Caunos.. Dinner on board and time to explore this tiny hamlet with quaint bars.
Day Three
We sail down the Loryma Peninsula. Overnight Loryma with dinner on board in this quiet cove.
Day Four
A short sail into the ancient Portus Cressus allows a walk across the neck of the peninsula to the ancient Hellenistic site of Kasara. Return to the vessels for a cooling swim, pre-lunch drinks and one of our usual gourmet lunches which provide a variety of fresh salads, bean, aubergine and tomato dishes, pasta, fresh breads followed by fresh fruit. Late afternoon cruise to the tiny harbour of Bozburun. Overnight in the harbour at Bozburun.
Day Five
We take our morning sail between the two Greek islands of Minos and Symi, a delightful and scenic part of the cruise, on to the Datca Peninsula Dinner and overnight on board.
Day Six
Waking early in a Turkish village is an enlightening experience. Wander through the farmlands as the local people are setting about their daily chores. Cows, pigs and chickens; and tiny children walking to school. Arrive in Knidos for lunch, swimming, snorkelling and windsurfing. After lunch and a rest, we visit Knidos. Overnight with dinner on board, moored in the ancient harbour of Knidos.
Day Seven
For those early risers, there is a hike to the Knidian Acropolis, an archetypal Hellenistic fortress mirrored throughout Asia. After a late breakfast sail across the Ceramic Gulf to Bodrum, ancient Halicarnassus, where our cruise will end. Lunch on board, followed by an afternoon visit to the Bodrum Museum. Housed in the 14th Century Crusader castle of St. Peter, the museum is famous for its underwater collections excavated from wrecks around the coast of Asia Minor.
Day Eight
After an early breakfast, transfer to Bodrum Milas airport for flight to Istanbul
Optional extra is to spend the night in Istanbul and take a full day tour of this fascinating ancient City.
